Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University K. Viyanna Rao has appealed to the colleges which have completed six years of their existence to seek accreditation.

Addressing a meeting of college principals, Dr. Rao underlined the importance of seeking recognition and appealed to the college managements to start a quality drive to improve the performance of the colleges.

The UGS regulation on assessment and accreditation of higher educational institutions has made it mandatory for colleges to seek accreditation, he said.

Principal of University College of Science A..V. Dattatreya Rao spoke on the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) , which is to be introduced from this academic year.

Registrar R.R.L. Kantham said a workshop would be organised on July 27 to create awareness on accreditation process.

Dean, CDC, G.V Chalam wqas among others spoke who at the meeting.
