S. Teki, Professor and Head of Department of Management Studies, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry has reached the semi-finals of the Global medal award for best Research on Development -2010, of Global Development Network (GDN), Washington D.C. / New Delhi. Selection for the awards was done by GDN's globally eminent external panels through a multi-stage process.

The final award for winners will be presented at the 12th Annual Global Development Conference being hosted by the University of de Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia between January 13 and 15.

The theme of the conference is ‘Financing Development in a Post- Crisis World: The Need for a Fresh Look.' The conference organisers have invited Prof. S. Teki, to participate in the conference.

Rare honour

It is indeed a very rare distinction and honour to reach the semi-finals of the GDN Global awards -2010, and participate in the 12th Annual Global Development conference for a Professor from a state level University in Rajahmundry. The GDN conference organisers have extended full funding covering all expenses. Prof. S. Teki would leave India from Rajahmundry on January 8 for Bogota, Colombia and return to India on January 19.
