KARIMNAGAR: In order to benefit the farming community, the district animal husbandry and Karimnagar agricultural market committee are conducting exclusive `animal health camps' in Bejjanki, Thimmapur and Manakondur mandals from January 17 to 31.

The first camp was organised in Ramakrishnapuram Colony, Chokkaraopalli, Laxmipur. The fourth camp was organised in Nallagonda village of Thimmapura mandal on Friday. Collector C Parthasarathi inaugurated the camp.

The authorities have decided to conduct such camps in Kondapalkala, Kothapalli, Manakondur and Nagula Malyala villages till January 31.

During these camps, veterinary doctors are treating cattle and

calves by providing deworming medicine. They are also treating other ailments and giving tips to farmers on how to increase milk production. The agricultural market committee is distributing Rs 10,000 worth of medicines at each animal health camp.
