If philately is your area of interest, Kala Bharati Auditorium has on display a rare collection of stamps, coins, currency notes related to music.

The exhibition, put up by Commander G. Sriramarao, is being organised as part of the 44{+t}{+h}annual festival of music and dance of Visakha Music Academy. In addition to the collection of stamps related to the art, one can browse through miniature models of musical instruments, unusual stamps with beads, embroideries, pearls and crystals etched on them.

Stamps in CD, DVD and gramophone formats and stamps that smell like cocoa, chocolate, pineapple, rose and sandalwood form part of the interesting collection.

A unique collection of postal covers with cancellation from 76 Post Offices is one of the special attractions at the venue. The huge collection of postage stamps include 3,500 stamps, 700 covers, 204 coins and 71 currency notes from different parts of the world, which includes the longest stamp stretching up to 70 cms. The exhibition is on till December 2 and is open in the evenings from 5 p.m.
