Children and general public were visibly excited by the opportunity to experience the life in Navy from close quarters.

The visitors, taken on a guided tour of the two warships of the Eastern Fleet – INS Rana and INS Kulish – on Saturday, evinced interest in learning about the career opportunities in the armed forces.

The visitors were briefed about the diverse weapons and equipment on the Kashin Class destroyer INS Rana and front line missile platform INS Kulish that were open to public as part of the ongoing Navy Week celebrations.

The Naval operations were also explained by means of photo boards and projections systems.

Caps, flags and posters of the Indian Navy were distributed among the children visiting the ships.

All the visitors were also provided refreshments after the tour.

The warships are open to general public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the mela is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday is the last day for both.
