Vigilance staff discusses problems on the field with the TTD top brass
The TTD top-brass on Wednesday engaged in effective interaction with its Security and Vigilance staff, not only to exchange views on various operational matters but also to discuss field problems and come up with solutions.
Christened as “Vigilance Darbar”, it is organised under the aegis of TTD’s Vigilance and Security Wing with the TTD’s Executive Officer L.V. Subramanyam as the chief guest and was attended by Special Protection Force personnel, commandos, security and vigilance guards, women working as private security guards, home guards etc. mostly working in and around temples in Tirumala.
“We will try to sort all issues raised at the meeting,” the Executive Officer said while addressing the meeting. Subramanyam said that due to the sensitive nature of their job, they should always be attentive and alert to meet any exigency effectively.
‘Hone your skills’
He also exhorted them to hone their professional skills to meet the emerging challenges, and also be polite and courteous to the pilgrims. He said that since they were all working in a spiritual organisation, they should develop a philosophical mind and respect the traditions.
The Chief Vigilance and Security Officer G.V.G. Ashok Kumar gave a broad overview of the problems and perspectives of the department. TTD’s Joint Executive Officers - P. Venkatrami Reddy (Tirupati) and K.S. Srinivasa Raju (Tirumala) too addressed the meeting.
Among other officials who participated were Chief Engineer Chandrasekhar Reddy, Additional Vigilance and Security Officer Sivakumar Reddy and VGO Hanumanthu.
