Assembly Speaker to attend

NIZAMABAD: The Military car rally launched in connection with the World Military Games to be held in Hyderabad in October will arrive at Kammarpally, a mandal headquarter town lying on the border of Karimnagar-Nizamabad districts tomorrow night.

Joint Collector, revenue divisional officer and residents of the area will welcome the convoy comprising 50 military vehicles. It will reach the district headquarter late on the same night through Morthad, Perkit, Armoor and Mubaraknagar where the Mayor D. Sanjay will welcome it.

Inspecting the arrangements at the Collectorate grounds here on Friday Collector B. Ramanjaneyulu, asked mandal-level authorities to give wide publicity to the military car rally. He appealed to the people to gather at the grounds in a large number to receive and bid farewell to the rally.

This occasion would be celebrated like a national festival by hoisting national flags and other arrangements. School children would stage cultural programmes in the morning and evening of July 22. Assembly Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy, Ministers D. Srinivas, Mohammad Ali Shabbir and Damodar Rajanarsimha, MPs, MLCs and MLAs would grace it.

Over 5,000 students were expected to take part in the event, he said.
