Candidates told to stick to the code of conduct

Krishna district Collector Budha Prakash Jyothi has asked the MLC candidates to observe the election code of conduct strictly. The Collector has reviewed the arrangements made for the Krishna-Guntur Legislative Council graduates’ constituency election being held on Thursday.

The Collector has inspected a few polling centres in Ibrahimpatnam mandal.

In a press release here on Wednesday, the Collector said 1,08,632 voters would exercise their franchise in 159 polling centres. The district was demarcated into 15 zones that would be supervised by 20 zonal officers. The polling material and men would be transported to 159 polling centres by 23 routes.

Vijayawada RDO S. Venkata Rao said graduates interested in finding out the location of their polling centres should visithttp://krishna.ap.nic.inand click on ‘Krishna graduate – search your name’ and feed the required particulars. HeDistrict Collector and Returning Officer for MLC election (Guntur-Krishna graduates’ constituency) S. Suresh Kumar has said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of polling on Thursday.

The Collector along with election observer B. Rajasekhar inspected arrangements for polling.
