Elaborate arrangements are being made for the whirlwind tour of Chief Minister K. Rosaiah in East Godavari district scheduled for Thursday. Mr. Rosaiah will conduct an aerial survey of the damage due to the cyclone that hit the district the past four days.

After visiting Kottapet, P. Gannavaram, Razole, Sakhinetipalli, Allavaram, Pedapudi, Kirlampudi, Tuni and Tondangi mandals from the special helicopter, the Chief Minister will land at the stadium here at 12.10 p.m. He will directly reach Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan at to visit the special photo exhibition being organised by the district administration on the impact of the cyclone.

After conducting a review meeting with the officials at the same venue, he will leave for Krishna district to assess the loss due to the cyclone. District Collector M. Ravi Chandra, at a press conference here on Wednesday, said that the Chief Minister was keen on visiting the district, which affected badly due to the cyclone. “The aerial survey and the photo exhibition will help the Chief Minister come to an assessment about the loss incurred to the district due to the cyclone,” he said. Elaborate arrangements are being made by the police and the district administration for the Chief Minister's visit.

A helipad is being arranged at the stadium and the Ambedkar Bhavan is gearing up for the photo exhibition.
