A two-member team of the Medical Council of India will make a two-day visit to the fledgling Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) from Friday.
The team, comprising Bh. Baheti and Sadhya Manjrekar, would examine the facilities at the RIMS and ascertain whether they met with the MCI guidelines for starting III year admissions in the new academic year, RIMS Director B. Anjaiah told reporters here.
‘All facilities created’
“We have created all the facilities, including infrastructure, equipment and human resources, to meet the MCI guidelines,” he said and expressed confidence that it would get green signal from the MCI.
A team of Indian Nursing council would shortly visit the RIMS in connection with the starting of a nursing college with an intake of 60 students. Meanwhile, Prakasam District Collector and RIMS Hospital Development Committee Chairman G.S.R.K.R. Vijaykumar visited the RIMS and interacted with doctors on various issues.
