Seek completion of Brahmani Steels

AISF activists took out effigies of district in-charge Minister M. Mahidhar Reddy and Ministers D.L. Ravindra Reddy, Mohd. Ahmedullah and C. Ramachandraiah in a funeral procession and burnt them at Koti Reddy circle on Saturday, deploring their indifference towards the demand for entrusting Bramhani Steels factory to Steel Authority of India Limited.

Government indifferent

The government was non-responsive to the oft-repeated demand for ensuring the completion of Bramhani Steels Factory at Jammalamadugu through SAIL, AISF district president K. Easwaraiah and secretary G. Maddileti alleged.

Accusing the Ministers of failing to ensure the setting up of any industry in Kadapa district, they demanded that the Ministers tender their resignation. An industry would generate direct employment to youth and indirect employment to several others, they said.

AISF leaders demanded that the Ministers take up the issue with Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, or else students would obstruct them during their visits to the district. AISF city president Kondaiah, secretary G. Suresh, vice-presidents Sharif, Sravan Kumar, Sunil and Anand participated.
