Anantapur: Noted cell phone promoter ‘Airtel' has donated traffic barricades to the Anantapur traffic police as part of their corporate social responsibility programme. Through the programme, Airtel sought to promote ‘safe travel' for the commuters as well as convenience for the traffic police.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer V. Harshavardhan Raju who spoke on the occasion thanked the Airtel for the support given to the police and for their role in reducing the accidents in the city.
Airtel has donated 40 barricades, which contains safety messages and with the caption “With you and for you always”. Bharti Airtel Limited, a group company of Bharti enterprises is among Asia's leading integrated telecommunication services provider with operations in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh with around 138 million customers. The company has been ranked as one of the six best performing companies in the world in the field of telecommunication, according to an Airtel press release.
