East Coast Express will augment additional coaches by four trains permanently with effect from January 16 in view of the demand to clear wait-listed passengers in Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Satabdi Super Fast Express, Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Inter City Express, Bhubaneswar-Bolangir Inter City Super Fast Express and Sambalpur-Puri Inter City Express. The 12074/12073 Bhubaneswar-Howrah-Bhubaneswar Jan Satabdi Super Fast Express and 18411/18412 Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express trains will have 10 coaches each from January 16 with one additional Second Class Reserved Sitting accommodation Coach added.
Similarly, the 12893/12894 Bhubaneswar-Bolangir-Bhubaneswar Super Fast Express and the 18303/18304 Sambalpur-Puri-Sambalpur Inter City Express will have two additional Second Class Reserved Sitting accommodation coaches. Both the trains will run with 13 coaches each.
With increase in the frequency of the 12807 Samata Super-fast Express scheduled to leave Visakhapatnam at 6.20 a.m. from three days to five days a week, the passengers going towards Nizamuddin/Delhi will now find confirmed accommodation on the additional days of service. Following is the reservation status by Visakhapatnam–Nizamuddin Samata Express with effect from January 8, according to Visakhapatnam Divisional Commercial Manager T. Chandra Sekhar Rao in Sleeper Class as on Thursday evening: January 8- 228 berths; Jan.11- 219; Jan.15 – 305; Jan.18 – 313; Jan.19 – 130; Jan.20 – 210; Jan.22 – 275; Jan.23 – 130 berths.
