British Deputy High Commissioner for Andhra Pradesh Richard Hyde on Monday said that action would be taken if the allegations of parking funds through illegal means in Swiss banks by the HSBC were proved.

Asked to comment on allegations of money-laundering made recently by anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal during an interactive session conducted by the CII, he said as per legislations in the UK, anyone colluding with bad practices was liable to be prosecuted.

The British official pointed out that the Indian Government was looking into the charges.
