Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Saturday arrested M. Reddy Rajsekhar Reddy, General Manager of Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Qutbullahpur Engineering Division, on charge of amassing wealth illegally.

The residence and office of the general manager's friend K. Rama Krishna, Deputy Executive Engineer of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Tarnaka, were also being searched since they jointly owned some properties, according to a press release.

Searches at Reddy's office and residence revealed that he acquired assets worth over Rs. 1 crore which were disproportionate to his known sources of income, according to a press release. His properties included a house, three flats and three shopping complexes in Hyderabad and 24 acres of agricultural land at Raikal in Shadnagar of neighbouring Mahabubnagar district. Two kilos of gold jewellery, five kilos of silver and Rs. 5 lakh were also found in his house.
