Union Minister of State for Textiles Panabaka Lakshmi said she would abide by her party's stand on Srikrishna Committee recommendations and all those in the Congress have to do the same.
In a brief chat with media persons here on Thursday, Ms. Lakshmi said she was personally in favour of united State but she has to accept the party's decision. The committee has done its job without any political interference and there was nothing to find fault with it.
Meanwhile, Minister for Cooperation Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy said at a meeting at Narasaraopet that the fact that most of the people in Andhra Pradesh favoured united State was evident from the findings of the committee. A concerted effort has to be made irrespective of one's political affiliation for achieving all-round development of the State. The Central government has to respect sentiments of the majority population, she said.
