Lingayas Institute cultural fest

The closing ceremony of Lingayas Institute of Management and Technology cultural festival will be conducted on the college premises, at Madalavarigudem village in Nunna mandal, on January 12. Students from 50 colleges are participating in various events. Singers Krishna and Geetha Madhuri will perform in the star night, according to a press release.

Students win prizes

Three students – N. Sashank Ram Manikanta, KSKBS Sai Prasad and V. Bavinash – won prizes in the drawing competitions on road safety. Officials of Transport Department organised the competitions in connection with the ‘24{+t}{+h}National Road Safety Week’ observed from January 1 to 7{+t}{+h}.

Annual day

The 30{+t}{+h}annual day celebrations of Don Bosco Public School, located at Vijayanagar Colony, Gurunanak Road, were conducted on Wednesday. Mylavaram MLA Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, former MP Gadde Rammohan Rao, Dhanekula Group of Industries chairman D. Ravindranath Tagore and others participated in the celebrations. The cultural programmes performed by the students attracted the visitors.

Sankranthi celebrations

The management staff and students of St. John’s Public School, organised ‘Sankranthi Festival’ celebrations. All the students were dressed with traditional attires, while the tiny tots were blessed with ‘bogipallu’. The other students prepared ‘pongal’, painted rangolis and decorated them with ‘gobbillu’. The ‘bommala koluvulu’ and ‘haridasulu’ were the highlights of the celebrations.

Students’ re-union

to be organised

The St. Joseph’s High School of Guntur is organising re-union of its students who studied up to 2008 on January 12 (9 a.m to 1 p.m).

Former MLA P. Sai Kalpana, who is an old student, will be chief guest.
