For the 30-odd young painters, taking part in ‘Art Beat-2011' a painting contest, the interaction with noted painter N. Ravi Kumar of Montessori Educational Institutions on Monday was not only a timely one but a fruitful one as well.
Mr. Kumar, who took part in the interactive programme organised by Spoorthi, a creative art school, enlightened the youngsters on various issues concerning the oil painting. They could learn some nuances and tricks to be followed for good painting experience on canvas.
He gave his observations to the students on colour mixing, shades, and the flow of brush on the canvas. “To inspire the students Mr. Kumar also showed works of world famous painters such as Picasso and Michelangelo. He gave tips as how to paint landscapes and drew one in the presence of them,” said school director G. Srinivas.
He said the school was conducting workshops regularly to the students thus helping them interact with experienced painters and learn the nuances of the art. School principal G. Sneha also took part in the workshop.
