‘Photocopying shops should be closed 30 minutes before and after start of the exam'

As many as 23,833 of the 25,803 Intermediate first year students of both general and vocational streams appeared for the English paper-I examination of the Intermediate Public Examinations-2011 across Prakasam district on Wednesday.

Set number two question paper was released to students in 75 examination centres in the district, Board of Intermediate Examination(BIE) Regional Inspection Officer(RIO) S Aruna Kumari said. She said no malpractices by students were reported on the third day with close vigil maintained by four flying and five sitting squads and District Examination Committee members M Nageswara Rao, Principal, Government Junior College Adanki, Ch Zakariah, Principal BAR&TA Junior College Parchur and J Nageswara Rao, Junior Lecturer from TRR Government Jr. College Kandukur.

The teams visited 57 of the 75 centres on day three to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations, she said.

So far three cases of malpractices including one against a student in Komarole Government College on Tuesday, were booked so far since commencement of the examinations on Monday , she said. After a teleconference with BIE Secretary G. Balaramaiah, she said ''we have taken all precautions to ensure smooth conduct of the exam on Thursday.

The Board of Intermediate Education Secretary was very particular that all photocopying shops were closed 30 minutes before and after the starting of the examinations, she added.
