ITDA project officer C. Nagarani said that a target had been fixed this year to generate employment either directly or indirectly for 6,500 tribal youths and called upon the job resource persons to work with convergence to complete the task by encouraging youth.
She reviewed the progress of training and employment opportunities for the youth through Employment Generation and Marketing Mission (EGMM) and Rajiv Yuva Kirananlu with the meeting held with job partners and APMs. She warned that action would be taken against the resource persons if they fail to enhance their performance. The ITDA official suggested launching of courses in plumbing and masonry at the National Academy of Construction for second batch and also in land survey and electrical trades. She asked the unemployed youths to take up self-employment under Indira Kranthi Patham in all mandals in the Agency area. She also wanted completion of selection of candidates for training in hotel management and other courses.
