Coupons will be given to 57,029 new ration card holders for supply of 643.21 metric tonnes of subsidised rice at Re.1-a-kg. to 57,029 new ration card holders through 1,714 fair price shops in Kadapa district, district Collector V.Anil Kumar said on Thursday.

In a meeting with officials on Rachabanda II programme slated from November 2, he reviewed distribution of ration coupons, social security pensions, allotment of Indiramma houses, sanitation, drinking water supply to schools and Anganwadi centres and Indira Jala Prabha scheme.

The Collector told officials to keep sanction and allotment letters and ration coupons ready based on the applications received in Rachabanda I. He wanted constituency and mandal-wise reports prepared on the eligible persons. Officials were told to prepare mandal-wise reports on depletion of ground water, drinking water problem, borewells, areas having adequate water availability.

He wanted proposals prepared on the extent of waste lands to be brought under horticulture.
