Six persons, including three women, were arrested at the Anakapalle Railway Station on Thursday for allegedly trying to transport 64 kg of ganja. The accused packed the ganja in polythene packs and put them in air bags. The ganja, which was believed to have been procured from the Agency area of the district, was being taken to Pune. On a tip-off, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested the accused while they were trying to board a train, said GRP Deputy Superintendent of Police V. Bhima Rao. The seized ganja is valued at Rs.1 lakh.
