Building work yet to begin, says ZP chairperson

  • Collector seeks village-wise lists for sanction of pension

    KADAPA: Six hundred and thirty one anganwadi centers have been sanctioned in Indiramma model villages in Kadapa district, including 78 in urban areas and 553 in rural areas, Kadapa Zilla Parishad chairperson D. Jyothi Reddy said on Monday.

    Work on the buildings were yet to commence due to non-release of funds, she told a review meeting with officials at ZP meeting hall. When Ms. Reddy suggested location of new anganwadi centres in SC/ST colonies, Collector M.T. Krishna Babu directed ICDS Project Director P.V. Lakshmaiah to do so.

    The Collector asked DRDA Project Director R. Hariprakash to prepare village-wise lists of eligible persons awaiting sanction of pension, to seek grant of funds from the Government.


    Mr. Krishna Babu said basement was constructed for 17,755 houses out of 82,033 sanctioned in Indiramma scheme.

    He told district Manager of Housing D. Selvaraj to intimate to new beneficiaries about sanction of houses and warn them that sanction would be cancelled if they did not construct basements by October-end.
