APSCHE mum on action to be taken against erring colleges

  • 19 colleges flout admission norms
  • Violations noticed even in management quota

    HYDERABAD: Keeping silent on the action against colleges that flouted norms, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has decided not to allow 500 students of 19 B.Ed colleges to sit for annual examination as their admissions were done in violation of norms.

    Under the Osmania University region, 416 students were admitted against rules by 15 college managements while 66 candidates were illegally admitted under the Acharya Nagarjuna University region. Two colleges under Kakatiya University admitted 15 students against rules taking the total number to 497.

    These violations are in the seats under the Convenor quota. Violations were noticed even in the management quota with six colleges admitting 30 students.

    The list of colleges released by the APSCHE include Khader Memorial College of Education, Miryalaguda (65 additional seats); Soghra College of Education, Nalgonda (71 seats); Sana College of Education, Kodad (15 seats); AES College of Education, Narayanguda (21 seats); Gajwel College of Education, Medak (34 seats); Arafath College of Education, Nalgonda (6 seats); MAK College of Education, Ibrahimpatnam (20 seats), Modern College of Education, Ghatkesar (22 seats); Madina College of Education, Huzurnagar (14 seats); Residency College of Education, Vikarabad (20 seats); St. Adam's College of Education, Begumpet (16 seats); National College of Education, Medak (33 seats); Ravindranath Tagore College of Education, Chevella (40 seats); Noor College of Education, Shadnagar (19 seats), Shahnaz College of Education, Medak (18 seats); Fatima College of Education, Warangal (4 seats); Madeena College of Education, Khammam (11 seats); Zakir Hussain College of Education (21 seats) and Hazarath Ameeruddin College of Education, Giddalur (45 seats).

    Colleges that admitted additional students under the management quota include MAK Azad College of Education, Ibrahimpatnam (1 seat); Ravindranath Tagore College of Education, Chevella (8 seats); Islamia College of Education, Yakutpura (7 seats); National College of Education, Medak (6 seats); Dr. Zakir Hussain College of Education, Guntur (7 seats) and Azizia College of Education, Adoni (1 seat).
