It is official, the power cut has been increased from the existing two hours per day to four hours per day in Karimnagar town.
Earlier, the Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) had imposed two-hour official power, beside three hours of unofficial power cuts. Now, the NPDCL has officially announced imposing four-hour power cut in the town from Thursday to meet the growing demand in the sector.
The power cuts would be imposed from morning 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Besides, there would be additional power cuts in between depending upon the supply and demand gap, the officials said.
They said that they had increased power cuts to domestic sector to meet the demand in the agricultural sector and protect the standing crops.
In other towns of the district, the power cuts have been increased from four hours to six hours and in the rural areas it goes up to 10 hours per day.
