A three-day State-level tennis tournament was inaugurated by Khammam Revenue Divisional Officer Vasam Venkateshwarlu at Jubilee Club here on Friday. The tournament is being organised by Khammam Tennis Association.
According to the organisers, the tournament will be held in three different categories – under 21, under 50, and above 50. Tennis players from various parts of the State have registered their names for the tournament.
Earlier, in his inaugural address Mr. Venkateswarlu said the tourney would give a fillip to the exciting game of tennis in the district. It would offer a great opportunity to the budding tennis players to prove their talent and excel in the game.
The inaugural match was held at Sardar Patel Stadium. Nearly 100 teams are participating in the three-day tourney.
