VIJAYAWADA: Three persons were killed when a cement-laden lorry, on which they were travelling, overturned in Paritala village in the early hours of Tuesday. The Kanchikacherla police said the lorry started at Jaggayyapet after midnight. Four persons belonging to Krishnalanka boarded it in Chillakallu village and slept on a tarpaulin covering the cement bags. At Paritala, the driver lost control over the steering. Sensing danger, one of the four persons, Ramisetti Narasimha Rao, jumped before the lorry overturned. The three others, who remained atop the lorry, died on the spot. They were identified as Ramisetti Venkateswara Rao (46), Ramisetti Kanaka Rao (31), brothers of Narasimha Rao, and Eepuri Koteswara Rao (34).
