2K run held to mark tourism week

A 2K Heritage Run was organised as a part of the Tourism Week celebrations from the KU Arts and Science College to Waddepalli water tank in Kazipet here on Saturday.

District Collector G. Kishan and Municipal Commissioner Vivek Yadav, Urban SP A. Venkateshwara Rao, Rural SP G. Palaraju, NSS volunteers, students and enthusiasts participated in the run.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector promised to develop Warangal as a tourist hub and work for more inflow of tourists from across the State and rest of the country.

He also inaugurated a photo exhibition organised in connection with the Tourism Week celebrations under the auspices of Information and Public Relations Department at Public Gardens in Hanamkonda on Saturday. He said the Kakatiya Festival would be held at the Ghanapuram temple complex from September 24 to 26 .
