M. Francis, Special Officer of Rajahmundry rural mandal has said that mandal parishat is going to construct 2,000 individual sanitary latrines (ISL) in its limits. After inspecting illegal water connections in Rajavolu village he spoke to villagers and officials during a meeting on Thursday.
He said that the government had sanctioned 591 ISLs to rural mandal in which work orders were given to 519 and reminded that government was going to give Rs.9,100 per unit to construct the ISLs. He said that they have taken up a programme to identify the houses in villages through pasting a sticker on each house, if green sticker is pasted, any one should know that house is having ISL and if red is pasted, ISL is not constructed.
He inspected Mandal Prajaparishat school building, Anganwadi centres in Rajavolu and went to Dowleswaram where he inspected primary health centre. He asked the officials to complete Ayush bhavan immediately. MPDO D. Srinivasa Rao, village secretaries G. Venkatrao, Ch. Koteswara Rao and Sujatha participated in the programme.
