KARIMNAGAR: Authorities have decided to set up 1,515 polling stations including 190 for men and 188 for women in seven Assembly segments for election to the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency, scheduled on December 4. For polling, 3,573 electronic voting machines (EVMs) will be put to use and 8,636 polling personnel will be deployed.

The authorities have also identified 144 sensitive and 172 hyper-sensitive and 10 trouble-prone villages out of 538 villages in the constituency.

Identification papers

District Collector M.V. Satyanarayana has asked the voters to procure identification cards stipulated by the Election Commission to exercise their franchise. Even after inclusion of names in voters list, voters should get their identification proofs at the polling station to vote.
