HYDERABAD: A total of 150 samples were collected and sent for swine flu screening in the city on Tuesday while 70 patients are undergoing treatment.
Though two deaths were reported with similar symptoms, the officials did not confirm them as resulting from swine flu.
The District Medical and Health Officer Ch. Jaya Kumari said that the process of screening the samples was on and reports were expected late in the night.
So far, 25 persons have died from swine flu, she said. Those being treated at different centres included 13 on ventilator, she added.
Fracas prevailed at the Gandhi Hospital in the evening when relatives of a patient Hemalatha died when she was shifted there from A.P. Government and Chest Hospital.
The relatives alleged negligence on part of the hospital after the patient from Bolarum after initial treatment at the local public health centre was referred to the Chest Hospital and from there sent to the Gandhi Hospital.
The agitated relatives alleged that the hospital did not take the patient immediately.
