Eleven cases have been booked against four top clubs of the city, including the Secunderabad Club, by the Legal Metrology Department following surprise raids conducted in the last few days.
Two cases each were booked against the Chiraan Fort Club for charging in excess for bottled drinking water and for irregularities in the supply of liquor.
Tampering with weights
The Secunderabad Club was also pulled up for irregularities in liquor supply and for tampering with the electronic weighing machine seal.
Three cases were booked against the Jubilee Hills Club for irregularities in liquor supply, excess charge for water bottles and cola.
Four cases were also booked against the Filmnagar Cultural Centre for tampering with electronic weighing machine and irregularities in liquor supply, a press release by P.S.R.N.T. Swamy, Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology, said.
