VUDA's special drive for speedy disposal and redress of grievances of the applicants of Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) conducted exclusively for Pendurti zone on Thursday evoked good response.
The initiative was taken by VUDA Vice-Chairman B. Sreedhar to extend a ‘single window-like' service to the LRS applicants.
The special drive for Pendurti zone is being conducted for two days and will continue on Friday also.
More than 1,000 of the total 4,000 applications received from the zone for regularization of unauthorized layouts and individual plots under LRS were scrutinised on Thursday.
Personally attending to the queries and grievance of applicants in the drive, the Vice-Chairman directed the officials and staff to guide them properly since the applicants had to deal with various departments like Panchayat, Revenue, Registration etc., to obtain required documents in support of their applications.
The special drive for Madhurawada zone is scheduled for March 24 and 25 and Vizianagaram zone on March 26.
Chief Urban Planer of VUDA K Ananda Babu supervised the drive.
