The State government has extended 0.25 per cent reservation in MBBS and BDS courses for children of policemen who died at the hands of terrorists and extremists.

There were 498 families of such slain policemen which were eligible to claim the reservations in medical and dental colleges in the State, a police press release said.

The candidates will have to secure eligibility certificates from the Deputy Inspectors General of Special Intelligence Bureau or counter intelligence for applying under the quota, the press release added.
