Mumbai: Search operations were launched on Wednesday at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, one of the sites of the 26/11 attack, following a threat call from an unidentified person around 5.30 p.m. The control room of the Government Railway Police told TheHindu that the caller told the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), “ Bachana hai to bachalo” [Save CST if you want]. The mobile was later switched off.
Director-General of Police (DGP) A.N. Roy confirmed that the call was about “some kind of threat” to the CST.
The RPF , the Government Railway Police, bomb squad and the dog squad were deployed at the CST and Dadar stations and precautionary measures were put in place, Tukaram Chavan, Railway Police Commissioner, told TheHindu over phone.
