UJJAIN (M.P.): Braving the bitter cold, thousands of devotees took a holy bath in this ancient temple town on Saturday on the occasion of `Sanichari Amavasya.'
Due to scanty rainfall over the past few years in western Madhya Pradesh's Malwa region, rivers and nullahs dried up and the water-table declined. The district administration constructed more than 60 temporary fountains for the devotees.
On Friday night, they began gathering at Triveni Ghat. After taking bath, devotees offered prayers to Saturn at the Navagraha temple. - UNI
