A woman teacher of the Primary School in the Enemedha tanda, who played a key role in bringing the sexual harassment against tribal girls, is fearing a threat to her life. Speaking to The Hindu , she said her school had 82 students of which, 76 were inmates of the hostel run by the Village Reconstruction Organisation, an NGO. The accused was a native of the Thanda while the poor inmates hailed from other villages. “The families of the victims are sympathetic, but none is staying here because the kin of the accused hail from this village,” she said. She was apprehensive of an attack as the relatives of the accused were furious with her for bringing the incident to light.
