MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court on Friday directed actor Sushmita Sen to pay an octroi duty of Rs. 2.16 lakh on her Toyota Land Cruiser to the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai within three weeks.

On the penalty, which is 10 times the octroi amount, the Corporation would give her a hearing, the court said.

It directed the actor to give a bank guarantee for Rs. 10 lakh in favour of the Corporation.

Ms. Sen had challenged the levy of octroi and penalty by the Corporation. PTI
