Central Bureau of Investigation's Special Court Judge P. Moosad on Thursday said the controversy regarding the alleged role of a “VIP” in the Kiliroor sex scandal case need not be brought into trial hearings as there was scarce evidence regarding this matter.
The case relates to the alleged sexual exploitation of a minor girl by at least five persons at different places in Kerala and Tamil Nadu over a period of six months during 2003-2004.
The CBI case was that the accused had lured Shari, an underage girl, into a well entrenched sex-for-money racket by promising her a bright future as an actor.
The accused used the pretext of shooting a music video album to lure the impressionable young girl into their midst. The suspects, including two women, one of whom later turned approver, allegedly acted as promoters of the “video album” project.
