The Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the railway authorities to introduce more trains from Mysore to Bangalore in the morning hours.

C.M. Subramanian, who represented the chamber at the Zonal Railway Users' Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) meeting held in Hubli on August 18, said in a statement here on Tuesday that he had told the meeting that there were more travellers to Bangalore every day but no trains from Mysore after 6.45 a.m. until 11 a.m., except one passenger train at 8.30 a.m.

Express trains were not being run on the route, Mr. Subramanian said. However, there were six trains from Bangalore to Mysore in the same duration, most of which have hardly any passengers, he said.

According to Mr. Subramanian, Kuldeep Chaturvedi, General Manager of the South Western Railway had assured him that a feasibility study would be taken up to introduce one more train from Mysore to Bangalore in the morning.
