Various rites were performed on Saturday, the second day of Kadavallur Anyonyam, a contest for Vedic scholars, being held at the Kadavallur Sree Ramaswamy temple.
Shretha Santhanalabdi Homa and Dhanwantari Puja were performed. The rites began with Ganapati Homa at 5 a.m. A lecture on lifestyle diseases was held.
Cooperation Minister C.N. Balakrishnan on Saturday visited the Yajnasala built on the premises of the temple.
Sagneyam, a 10-day Homa, began on Friday at the Yajnasala, designed by Vastu expert Kanipayyur Krishnan Namboodiripad.
A national seminar on ‘Vedic tradition and Indian jurisprudence’ will be held from November 14 to 25. Sreepada Bhat, Head of the Department of Sanskrit, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune, will inaugurate the seminar.
