Higher education in the State needs to be reviewed with ‘bottom level approach’ to bring in equity and excellence, Vice-Chairman of AP State Council of Higher Education P. Vijayaprakash said here on Wednesday.

The Central Government, in an effort to improve the quality of higher education, has constituted a high level committee, Prof. Vijayaprakash, a former Registrar of Andhra University, said at a function organised by the university to honour him on being appointed vice-chairman of APSCHE.

He advised the teachers to inculcate the qualities of hard work and commitment towards their profession and to develop positive approach towards students and help them to reach their goals.

Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju felicitated Prof. Vijayaprakash and his wife, Prof. Tarakumari.

A large number of professors, teachers, research scholars, non-teaching staff and students attended the function.
