Excise Minister K. Parthasarathy on Monday released the list of selected candidates in the recruitment examination held for excise constable posts in March, 2013.

He said that 2,606 candidates were selected, including 840 female excise constables, and appointment orders would be issued within a month.

They would have to undergo training for a period of six months, including two months each at the Police Academy and the Excise Academy.

The details of the recruitment examination results would be available on the Centre for Good governance websitewww.cpe.cgg.gov.inand candidates could access it for more details. The written examination was conducted in a transparent manner by the CGG and the JNTU, he said.

Over 4.56 lakh candidates who appeared for the examination, 97,707 have qualified. The excise constables were recruited in the State after a gap of 19 years.
