KOLKATA: Repolling passed off peacefully in 15 booths across four districts of West Bengal on Sunday. The voter turnout was more than 80 per cent till 5 p.m., the State’s Chief Electoral Officer, Debashis Sen, said here.

The repolling was necessitated because of electoral malpractices and violence during polling in the second round of the three-phase Lok Sabha elections on May 7. Re-polling was held in nine booths in Howrah district, three in Bardhaman, two in Murshidabad and one in Hooghly districts.
