The Indian Army is organising a mega recruitment rally in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) from October 13 to 16. As many as 5,000 candidates from different districts are expected to take part in the rally being held for recruitment to different posts in the Indian Army.
Candidates from Kolar, Chickballapur, Bangalore Urban and Rural districts, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Gadag, Haveri, Mandya, Ramanagaram, Bagalkot and Tumkur districts are eligible to participate in the rally.
Deputy Commissioner D.S. Vishwanath advised candidates not to depend on any middlemen or agents for getting recruited in the Army as the recruitment process is transparent. “Don’t get lured by any touts, If you notice any such cases, bring it immediately to the notice of the police”, Mr. Vishwanath said at a press conference here on Thursday. He said that KSRTC authorities have been asked to arrange more buses to help candidates reach the venue. Ten senior army officers and 50 staff members will take part in the process, according to Army official Colonel R.S. Chouhan.
Additional Deputy Commissioner R.S. Peddappaiah was present.
