The three spinning mills of the Rajasthan State Cooperative Spinning & Ginning Mills Federation (SPINFED) have started producing yarn of international standard following the recent modernisation drive. The units have installed new machines in order to meet the demand.

According to SPINFED Chairperson & Managing Director Gurjot Kaur, multi-count yarn production is going up in the mills situated in Hanumangarh, Gangapur and Gulabpura with renewed emphasis on quality and productivity. SPINFED exported cotton yarn worth Rs.16 crore during the past couple of years, she added.

Addressing a meet of dealers from the northern region, she said the Union Textile Ministry's technology upgradation fund scheme had benefited the mills and enabled them to produce yarn in accordance with the quality parameters of global market.
