The Kerala High Court on Thursday admitted a writ petition seeking a CBI probe into the case relating to alleged irregularities and malpractices in the written examination conducted by the Public Service Commission (PSC) for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Training).

The petition was filed by Vinod Kumar and two others. According to them; two crimes were suo motu registered with the Iravipuram police in Kollam and Kollam east police following allegations of irregularities.

The police had also rounded up certain persons and materials were seized from them.

During the investigation, it was found by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kollam, that PSC officials and the State police officials were involved in the crimes. However, the investigation had almost come to a stop.

The results of the forensic examination material seized were yet to be received. No steps had been taken to bring back the prime accused who had left the country.
