Protests continue

Protests over the release of Cauvery waters to Tamil Nadu continued here on Sunday.

While leaders of the Janata Dal (Secular) staged a dharna outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office, workers of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike staged a protest near Hemavati reservoir at Goruru.

The leaders said the party would intensify the protest if the government continued to release water.
