Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has said that the government will give top priority to addressing grievances of prison staff.
Inaugurating the Rs.10-crore tele-medicine system in the Central Jail here on Friday, as also the new library building, and solar power unit, the Minister said that the jail personnel complained that they were not getting the benefits granted to police personnel. He promised that the government would give importance to the interests of the jail employees. The government’s policy was to enforce law and not to pursue vendetta.
K.A. Shaji, MLA, presided over the function. Additional Director-General of Police (Prisons) Alexander Jacob, district panchayat president K.A. Sarala, and District Medical Officer R. Ramesh were among those present at the function.
