With senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani confirming his participation in a meeting to pay homage to BJP’s State general secretary ‘Auditor’ V. Ramesh who was murdered about 10 days ago, police have intensified vigil in the city and on the outskirts of Salem. Police enhanced vehicle-check and night patrolling. Lodge owners have been advised to inform police about visitors. Surveillance cameras have been installed at many places across the city. More than 600 policemen have been posted for duty across the city. Police have also intensified vehicle-check in the State border with Karnataka .
